Marbella Productions is in production of a documentary of the life of Brendan Bracken, who rose from humble Irish republican roots via 1 term at Public School - Sedbergh- to be a pillar of the English establishment - MP, Privy Councillor, First Lord of the Admiralty, and ultimately Lord Bracken.

A total personal enigma - he was the first Political Spin Doctor, and was undoubtedly brilliant- in business in which he made himself immensely wealthy - He created "The Banker" and "History Today" magazines, and was responsible for the Financial Times as we know it today. He was the father of modern financial journalism.- and was, as Churchill's Wartime Minister of Information, the saviour of the BBC from Government clutches during WWII, which independence it still retains

Bracken never married, his life and generosity, yet coupled with flamboyance and his dogged devotion to Winston Churchill for over 30 years, is an intriguing tale, particularly as Bracken took great care to cover his tracks during his life & even after he had died from cancer at the age of 57.

Presented by Adrian Bracken (probably no relation) "Brendan Bracken - Churchill's Supreme Fantasist" is one of a series of one hour documentaries revisiting lives that have passed under the radar and yet whose stories are well worth the retelling.
